Oxygen Therapies

Medical ozone therapy oxygen therapies, natural alternative, detoxify, kill infectious disease bacteria mycoplasma virus organism.

Oxygen therapies, many therapeutic uses, effective, beneficial effects every part of our bodies. Medical ozone therapy is recognized by most as the most powerful versatile therapy known in alternative health because it plays a vital role in maintaining our well-being.

Oxygen (o2), along with foods is the primary nutrient that cells use to generate energy for all its functions. This energy is produced through oxidation of the unhealthy cells.

Ozone

What is ozone?
Oxygen as a single molecule is highly unstable, only able to exist for micro seconds in nature. However, when two oxygen atoms unite to share electrons, they form an axygen molecule, referred to as O2, which is very stable, and as such is the form of oxygen that is found in the atmosphere. When an energetic force, such as electricity or ultra-violet light, is imposed upon O2, the two oxygen atoms are temporarily split apart. In a matter of microseconds these oxygen atoms will pair up and reform back into O2 molecules, but a small percentage of them will unite in a ménage a trio known as ozone. Thus, ozone, referred to as O3, is a molecule which consists of three oxygen atoms. Because this is a relatively unstable molecule, ozone will not last very long. IN a matter of minutes, the ozone molecules will interact with each other to break back down into the more stable oxygen molecules:

O3 + O3= 3O2
This process is referred to as dismutation. It has been found that ozone in a glass container will dismutate at a rate of 50% every 45 minutes, and that in a plastic container it will dismutate even faster, at the rate of 50% every 30 minutes. This is extremely important to know because once ozone has been generated for a medical application, it must be used rather quickly. It can not be stored and used later.

How is ozone made?

Ozone is made by passing pure oxygen gas through a tube though which energy is directed. The energy breaks apart the molecules as described above, and what emerges from the other side is a mixture od oxygen and ozone. An important thing to remember here is that, with the exceptionof ozone generators that are strictly used for air or water purification, in no case should ozone desinted to be used for medical reasons ever be made from room air! The reason is that room air contains 20% nitrogen, and when this nitrogen passes through the energy chamber, it is converted to nitrous oxide and nitric oxide, both of which are highly toxic. This is why it is imperative that only high quality pure oxygen be used to generate the ozone used for medical purposes.

"The different modes of action of ozone on a living organism are now well understood. The production of peroxides is responsible for the remarkable bactericidal and fungicidal effects of ozone. The virus inactivation is enhanced by a peroxide intolerance of weakened infected cells. Normal cells are protected from the effects of ozone by enzymes in the cell wall - glutathione peroxidase, catalase and superoxide dismutase. Ozone stimulates the production of these enzymes, thus enhancing the cell wall resistance to invasion."
Fritz Schellander

How does ozone work?

Ozone in biological systems often exerts entirely different effects than it does in " in vitro" environments. In biological systems ozone instantaneously interacts with the double bonds found in amino acids and lipids to form peroxides. It is these various peroxides which exert the biological induction effects that are seen with ozone therapy. These peroxides are as diverse as the various lipids and amino acids found in the blood and tissues, and collectively they are refered to as ozonides. An important concept to remember regarding the formation of ozonides is that since ozone (like water) is a magnetic dipolar molecule, the initial reaction is one that involves an ionic bond. This is important because a common misconception regaurding ozone therapy is that ozone will induce free radical formation. The magnetic potential of a dipolar molecule prevents free radical formation in aqueous environments at all pH's less than 8. Since this pH is not found in the human body, free radical formation does not take place with the use of ozone. This is one of the advantages that ozone therapy has over other oxidative therapies such as hydrogen peroxide and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, where free radical formation is known to occur.

What is Ozone Reported to Do?
Deactivates viruses, bacteria, yeast, fungi and protozoa.
Stimulates the immune system.
Cleans arteries and veins.
Purifies the blood and the lymph
Reduces pain, calms the nerves
Stops bleeding
Prevents shock
Scavenges free radicals
Prevents stroke damage
Reduces cardiac arrhythmia
Improves brain function and memory
Oxidizes toxins, facilitating their excretion
Chelates heavy metals, working well with EDTA
Increases the amount of oxygen in the blood
Stimulates production of all protective cell enzymes
Prevents and reverses degenerative diseases
Prevents and treats communicable diseases
Prevents and eliminates auto-immune diseases

Since ozone will react with any and all double bonds in a lipid or amino acid, the net result is that the lipid or amino acid is broken down into peroxides which are short chained. This distinction is important because as we shall see later, the induction effects of ozone are mediated by the oxidation of intracellular NADH and FADH2, and short chained peroxides can quite easily penetrate cell membranes to reach these molecules. Many of these short chained ozonides are relatively stable, and have been shown to last from days to weeks, thus continuning to exert their effects long after your treatment session.

In the description above I was discussing what happens when pure ozone interacts in biological systems. But remember that when the gas comes out of the generator it is actually a mix of 97-98% oxygen with only a small amount of ozone. Although ozone will not produce free radicals, oxygen will. Therefore when the mixture of ozone and oxygen is administered together, free radicals will be induced by the oxygen component. This ozone/oxygen mixture can be applied in many ways. It can be injected into muscle, skin and fatty tissue. It can be introduced into the body cavities such as the rectum, vagina, joints and bladder. In all these methods, free radicals will be formed from the oxygen content of the mixture, and this effect must be considered when using these therapies. The two exceptions to this occur with the use of ozonated water and Major Auto-Hemotherapy (MAH). When water is exposed to ozone, the only molecule trapped in the water matrix is ozone. Since oxygen is not a dipolar molecule, it cannot be contained in water. Therefore the use of ozonated water represents one of the few times where ozone can be harnessed in the absence of oxygen. In MAH, the blood is only exposed to the oxygen/ozone mixture for a few seconds. In those few seconds, because it is so highly reactive, ozone will react instantaneously to produce the resultant peroxides discussed above, but since oxygen requires a significantly longer time to react, the free radical formation in this technique is very minimal.

Ozone has been used by medical doctors for over 50 years. Its use is more prevalent in many parts of Europe where regulations are not so restrictive on Ozone. In the US there are approximately 14 states which allow doctors to use it medically.

There are, however, many ways to use Ozone for safe and non-invasive personal therapy on ourselves. Our right to choose what we do for our own health is still to this day preserved. While medical claims are only given by doctors - the results are more important!

Ozone toxicity

Practically speaking, the respiratory toxicity of ozone being generated in a medical environment is grossly overrated. This is because in order to inhale enough ozone to cause permanent damage to the pulmonary epithelium, one would have to inhale a 20 gamma concentration of ozone for over one minute. Since the very first inhalation of a 20 gamma concentration will result in severe coughing spasms, more than one inhalation, much less a 60 second exposure, would be impossible. Thus, the permanent toxicity of ozone to the pulmonary epithelium is so far above the tolerable levels that it need not be considered. The one very notable exception to this rule occurs in patients or personnel with a history of either broncho constriction or restrictive lung disease. These persons are quite apt to encounter a potentially severe episode of sudden broncho constriction after only one inhalation, and so great care must be taken when using ozone in their presence. Indeed, even small concentrations that are just barely noticeable may trigger some mild symptoms in a person with reactive airway. we have found this not to be relavent with rectal ozone actually quite the opposite...

"The Sixth World Ozone Conference held in Washington D.C. during May, 1982, produced many astounding papers on the medical uses of ozone. They ran the full gamut of topics from cancer to herpes to rheumatoid arthritis, written by the world's recognized specialists in their fields. These papers concluded that:

1. Ozone removes unwanted bacteria and viruses from the blood, the same way it does with water.

2. The possibility of becoming infected with hepatitis, HIV, syphilis or other infectious diseases through blood transfusion could be eliminated by the use of ozone.

3. Ozone is highly effective in peripheral vascular disease.

4. Ozone is effective in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, arteriosclerosis and hyper-cholesterolemia, and promptly restores circulation, relieves angina pain and improves brain function.

5. With ozone, cancerous tumors, lymphomas and leukemia may be eliminated without the use of surgery, radiation or chemotherapy.

6. Ozone is highly effective for all forms of rheumatoid and arthritis collagen diseases.

7. Ozone is very effective for allergies of all types.

8. Ozone improves multiple sclerosis, and other neurological diseases, senility, as well as in Parkinson's disease.

9. External use of ozone is very effective in treating burns, acne, leg ulcers, open cuts and wounds, eczema, fungus and other skin disorders.

10. Rectal insufflation with ozone is effective for proctitis, colitis, prostatitis and fissure; vaginal insufflation is effective for candidiasis and other yeast infections, trichomoniasis and other forms of vaginitis; bladder insufflation is effective for cystitis and bladder fistulas, as well as cancer.

11. AIDS, herpes, hepatitis, mononucleosis, and cirrhosis of the liver have been successfully treated with ozone.

12. The application of ozone is virtually painless, has no adverse side effects and is extremely cost-effective for both physicians and patients.

13. As of 2000, eighteen countries allow the use of ozone therapy, and thirteen US states. In a study in Germany, with over 12 million treatments, there were only four deaths reported, with only 40 persons having side effects. "

Steam Sauna Therapy has been used for thousands of years by the Norwegians, Native North American Indians, Swedes, and many others. Ever wonder why? Because Steam Sweat Therapy is a powerful healing and rejuvenation experience, not to mention relaxing.

"Ozone has been used for human health since 1870, and is presently employed in 24 countries. Its widest use is in Germany, where over 7000 doctors have treated more than 12,000,000 people since WW II. In the United States, the FDA has not allowed testing of ozone, and, since 1933, has actively persecuted physicians who use it. Nevertheless, more and more doctors are turning to ozone therapy as a crucial tool for the treatment of serious diseases. In fourteen states, Alaska, Washington, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina, New York, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Minnesota, Florida and California, physicians are now able to employ any therapeutic technique, including ozone, without fear of persecution. In Dr. H.E. Sartori's recent book, the multiple uses of ozone for human health, dentistry, animal health and industrial uses are well covered. Tragically, Dr. Sartori himself was recently jailed for administering ozone in Virginia."
